DJ DHURT has been passionate about music since the age of 13, turning her childhood love for DJing into a thriving career. She has DJ'ed for several celebrities, toured internationally, and performed at numerous clubs. As a talk show host on Producer Culture, she continues to inspire and uplift others through her platform.
Academically, she earned her bachelor's degree from Georgia State University in 2022 with a focus on Sociology. She completed her master's in Human Services in 2024 and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Human Services, with an expected graduation date of 2028.
Her journey is driven by a desire to be the best version of herself, overcoming hardships along the way. Growing up, she witnessed many of her Hampton Road (757) friends face devastating challenges, including substance abuse within their families, losing friends at a young age to gun violence, battling depression, this often happens where at-risk youth often face limited opportunities for success. The world continues to face increasing difficulties, and these personal experiences have deeply influenced her resolve to make a difference.
Her motivation stems from a sincere belief that she can be part of the change needed to improve lives and communities. She understands firsthand the struggles many young people face because she has faced similar challenges herself. She is committed to turning her life experiences into gold and inspiring young females and males to pursue their dreams regardless of obstacles. Her story is one of resilience, talent, and unwavering dedication to creating a positive impact in her community and beyond.
